Born in Louisiana and raised in Inglewood, Keokia’s culinary journey began in her mother Deborah’s kitchen, where she learned the art of Southern cooking. Her father, Larry, instilled in her the joy of hosting family meals, where love was shared over good food.
With the support of her four daughters Destinee, Dasia, Danielle and Dionne and her husband of 27 years Kevin, Keokia honed her cooking skills, perfecting each dish through years of family gatherings. The heartbreaking loss of both her father and her husband, just nine months apart, ignited a new fire in her.
Determined to follow her passion for cooking and hosting, Keokia opened Keokia's Kitchen, where she now shares her love of soulful food with the world, honoring the memories of those who inspired her journey.
